CalArts Producers’ Show Selections

The CalArts Producers’ Show is an annual screening at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which showcases a premier selection of original animated shorts from CalArts’ renowned Character Animation program, selected by the faculty.

Alex has collaborated closely with directors as a lead composer and sound designer, with their works earning selection for three consecutive years.

Hymns of a Tiny World, The Birds of New Zealand.

Original sound effects and Mixing by Alex Fortunato, featuring unique and authentic sounds of 75+ species of New Zealand birds.

CAPITALISM! is about four friends who play a Monopoly-like board game called "CAPITALISM!". The game is depicted as an immersive world where each person travels through monochromatic streets in giant game pieces. The story takes a turn when one player becomes obsessed with winning.
